Dr. Lila Nachtigall, MD, Founder, Chairperson

Dr. Lila Nachtigall, MD is one of the world’s leading reproductive endocrinologists, widely recognized for her expertise in menopause and female hormones. Lila is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at New York University School of Medicine and in private practice in New York City for four decades. She pioneered medical research on hormone therapy, estrogen and menopause beginning in the 1970’s and has authored over 500 journal articles and three books on the subject. Lila is frequently cited by the world’s leading media sources including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN, Good Morning America, The Oprah Show and other major print and television media. She has received numerous awards including “Breaking Ground in Women’s Health” by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, “Best Doctors” in New York magazine, “Patient’s Choice Award” multiple years and “Teacher of the Year” by New York University School of Medicine. She is the past-president of the North American Menopause Society and founder and chairperson of the Foundation for Women’s Wellness. In addition to her full time patient practice, research and teaching she is a sought after speaker internationally concerning menopause and hormone treatment.

Lila is a graduate of NYU Medical School where she specialized in reproductive endocrinology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She resides in New York City with her husband Dr. Richard Nachtigall, a physician and professor of clinical medicine at NYU Medical School, and is the mother of three and grandmother of nine.  


Ellen N. Biben, Esquire, Founder & President

Ellen currently serves as the Inspector General of New York State. Appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo, Ms. Biben was previously the Special Deputy Attorney General for Public Integrity in the NY Attorney General’s office. In this capacity she supervised numerous public fraud and corruption investigations. Ellen also served as Deputy Bureau Chief of the New York County District Attorney’s Office for over a decade. Ellen received her B.A. from Wesleyan College and a J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center where she was executive editor of the Law Review.


Lynn R. Zises, MBA, MIA, Treasurer & Secretary

Lynn is a former vice president at Enterprise Asset Management, a commercial real estate firm. She co-founded Tripology, an internet travel company, and was a foreign affairs advisor to Congressman Gary Ackerman. Lynn has long been involved in women’s causes from FWW to the Women’s Campaign Fund. She has a joint masters degree in business administration and international affairs from Columbia University and BA cum laude from Barnard College.


Sharon H. Cravitz, Executive Director
Sharon has worked in the public, private and nonprofit sectors of healthcare for over two decades. Prior to helping found FWW she was executive vice president for a medical technology company. During the peak of national healthcare reform in the early nineties, Sharon was the senior advisor for health and women’s issues to a senior U.S. Senator where she worked to create bipartisan healthcare reform legislation. Her work explaining President Clinton’s proposed health plan in the form of a chart received significant national media attention being called by the press “...the best use of a visual aid..” for depicting complex policy and citing Sharon as “..a [Capitol] Hill celebrity.” Her work is still referenced when national health reform is discussed. During her tenure on the Hill Sharon was named in Who’s Who of Rising Young Americans. She has published articles, appeared on television and spoken extensively throughout her professional capacities. Sharon graduated from Tufts University magna cum laude with a BS in clinical psychology and lives in Denver, Colorado.


Tara Allmen, MD

Dr. Tara Allmen, MD is a nationally certified menopause practitioner, a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and a health educator. Dr. Allmen has educated thousands of medical professionals around the country about menopausal medicine. Dr. Allmen is also CEO of The Allmen Foundation, a non-profit organization that has supported women’s health endeavors every year since its inception. The North American Menopause Society refers to Dr. Allmen as a “visionary” contributor. Dr. Allmen earned her bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University, medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco.


Anita Bose, MBA, MPH
Anita is the Director of Consumer Wellness at Manning Selvage & Lee, one of the world's leading global communications firms . Anita’s clients include major healthcare and pharmaceutical companies for whom she has spearheaded various product and corporate communications initiatives, including programs in women’s health, cardiovascular disease, mental health and other therapeutic categories. In addition to FWW Anita also serves on the Board of Samhati, a nonprofit group supporting projects for poor women and children in Bangladesh. Anita received her masters in business administration and public health and BA from Columbia University.


Eilhys England

Eilhys is the author and editor of several published books and screenplays. She has extensive marketing, film, and publicity experience as the founder and president of England & Company, a top-50 marketing and public relations firm. Eilhys has long-standing philanthropic involvement in health and women’s causes.
