Partnership for Gender Specific Medicine

Society for Women’s Health Research
A nonprofit advocacy group based in Washington, DC. This link lists both consumer and scientific fact sheets containing women-specific health information on a spectrum of diseases adversely affecting women and lists other on-line resources.

National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC)
This site is the self-described federal government’s clearinghouse for women’s health information. There are links, articles, and a toll-free telephone line for free information. There is also a link for health information in different languages. http://www.4woman.gov/

The CDC is the government’s main responder to public health emergencies. CDC also conducts medical research and investigations.

The FDA is the government’s overseer of safety, efficacy, and security for human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.
